Who love's Valentine's Day? I used to be one of those people who felt like this overblown and super heart sized holiday was ridiculous! In fact, no matter what I do or where I go, I can't stop thinking of Taylor Swift in the movie Valentine's Day carrying around that giant stuffed animal! And that is how I picture this day precisely in my head.
AHHHH! Where do I start! I freaking love Palm Springs! And since it has been having a moment for quite some time, apparently, it’s hotter now more than ever. With festivals like Coachella, architecture tours, film festivals, and being one of the warmest spots to visit while the rest of the US falls prey to arctic blasts, it is a destination you will want to add to your travel list in 2018.
Let me start this post by saying that when I moved here eight years ago, winters were no joke. Crocodile tears and sliding my way around town both on foot and in my sedan were common. So many of you have messaged me asking, "What do I wear when visiting Minnesota for the Super Bowl?" My answer, in short, is overpreparing, overpack, and wear all the layers.
So we have all been there, the dreaded question, "honey where do you want to eat?" Isn't the pressure of that one little tiny question the worst? My typical response, "I don't care, anything is fine!" Then the inevitable game of going back and forth making suggestions and throwing out new ideas feels like it never ends! And in the end, we usually just settle for takeout for lack of creativity! How annoying, how tragic!
I took a nice long break from the blog this past month. I decided to just soak up the time with my family, friends and loved ones. While watching the ball drop Sunday night, I kept thinking back on this year. All the things that have happened, good, bad, and the lessons I have taken from each along the way.
I've teamed up with Hammitt, to bring one lucky reader a fabulous gift and just in time for the holidays! Nothing makes me happier than a little giveaway. Be sure to follow all the requirements outlined below to win! I am in love with the quality and passion Hammitt brings to their products. I have worked with this brand over and over so I can recommend these beautiful bags with a personal stamp of guarantee!
Does anyone else like to procrastinate when it comes to Christmas gifts? We are pretty bad around here at sending out any ideas or shipping our gifts out in time. You would think after making all the gift guides I have posted on the blog; it would be easy! I wish it were! I would much prefer to give than receive.
