Do you shop locally? Do you support small businesses that are trying to make a change here in the US or even around the world? I find myself feeling compelled to support that cause more and more lately. Maybe it is my age, maybe it is the changing world we live in, I do not know the reason, but I appreciate it. Today is shop small Saturday, a very wonderful and beautiful day for businesses all over the world that are trying to make an impact in a big world. And I am proud to say that I have friends who are making an impact by giving artisans and local designers a platform. I grew up in a family that owned a small business, worked hard to make a living, and I also am now a small business owner. I am proud to tell my customers that we are locally owned that we are trying to make a difference. Trust me we are all guilty of not being as cognizant of this issue as we could be, but by noticing if we are buying made in the USA, being aware of the resources, we are giving these entrepreneurs a voice. If anything I want them to know that I support their efforts and their dedication. The dress in this blog post is made in the U.S.A and is also from a local boutique in Minnesota also offering a wide selection online.
