I live for Christmas…I grew up celebrating every holiday and Christmas is one that I especially cherish. Unsure if it is my Texas upbringing that brings such fervor for the season, but from decor to gifting to decorating, it is always done big and done right. I am one of those people that wants to run to Christmas with my arms wide open, and do so pretty much right after we are finished cleaning up Thanksgiving lunch.
Our house was decorated before Thanksgiving – usually a big no no in my husband’s eyes but we had a lot of traveling coming up and I wanted to get it up and start enjoying the holiday season…so cue the Christmas music, a cup of cocoa, a fire, and up the tree + lights went in advance – for the first time! And I have enjoyed every minute of it.
This year is a very special year for our little family as we are spending our first Christmas in our home. We will wake up in our very own house as husband and wife, in our home that we bought with our little tree that we decorated. I love this time of year. I love that we are making memories, our memories. That my parents flew all the way from Texas to be here with us, and I am thankful for so many things my heart could burst. Hopeful – that it might snow for my mom, who has been praying so, since she booked her ticket to Minnesota. Grateful – that we will all be together in our home, in my new state, celebrating such a beautiful day. Beyond Blessed – that we are all safe and just able to be here in this moment.
Enjoy these pictures from our Christmas card photo shoot! Hoping it brings a little cheer and I wish you a very…
