If you have been following along with C+M over the last year, you know I am a hotel lover. Nothing makes me happier than checking into a clean hotel room with a big fluffy bed and cozy robe. The W Minneapolis is no stranger to rolling out the red carpet when it comes to luxury and welcoming it’s guests with open arms.
My little family (fur babies) and all, had the privilege of checking in during MNFashion Week and it was the perfect way to kick off my birthday celebration. A welcome rest from the crazy fashion filled evenings and events, I immediately jumped into a cozy robe and a glass of bubbles.
Being the transplant that I am, I welcome guests from all over to come and visit our fine state. With so many of my friends traveling from all over the country, I feel it is my duty to direct them to the best of the best when it comes to booking their accommodations. And that goes for you too! I love knowing with 100% confidence I can recommend a place where I have stayed and enjoyed. You will feel at home, rested, and have the best visit possible while here in the Twin Cities with the W Hotel.
Our room had one of the best views, high above and overlooking the skyscrapers that dominate downtown Minneapolis. My number one recommendation for anyone visiting Minne is to head up to the Foshay Tower. This is a gem of a view that is not to be missed. You feel like you are living in the clouds with a breathtaking 360-degree view of downtown and loads of history just waiting to be discovered in the museum. The visit is free to hotel guests and a small fee to anyone just wishing to take in the views. This is going to be my new tourist destination for all of my out-of-town visitors.
Being a dog mom, having the reassurance that my fur babies can come along with us on these little staycations, makes the biggest difference with all of our hectic schedules. Fluffy dog bed, water and food bowls waiting for us, the staff treated the dogs like they were just as important guests. It was obvious the staff, concierge and entire team working at the W are dedicated to making your experience unforgettable.
In-room dining is always a treat when staying in a hotel and we treated ourselves to a yummy breakfast (I recommend the smoothies) and toured the grounds, walked the dogs to a nearby park while enjoying coffee, and later that evening enjoyed the Living Room for a few drinks and the Prohibition with friends. If you do stay be sure you order the tater tots late night for a snack, seriously addicting (Thanks to Magdalena for the recommendation)!
