When it came time to plan a little getaway for our second babymoon, we wanted a destination that was easy on travel, offered a pool, beach, ocean swimming, and overall as relaxing as possible. We have been traveling with Leo since he was three months old, and this was not his first flight but his first one where he was able to walk! Three hours in the sky was the threshold for this mama!
Let me start by saying this trip was a last minute decision made by the two of us to escape the never-ending season that is winter in Minnesota. Everyone I believe, even the most snow loving of folks is over the cold and wet. I happen to be one of those people and this little escape to the Sunshine state was just what our family of three needed.
Let me start this post by saying I was beyond nervous about taking our little family of three to Mexico. Leo was a few weeks shy of six months and the thought of something happening in another country was top of mind. I researched until the sun would shine, talked to our Pediatrician to make sure we had the green light to go, and prayed. I prayed a lot.
Today, I'd like to take you back to the charming city of Aurora, New York. Nestled on the shore of Cayuga Lake and home to Wells College, American Girl Doll owner Pleasant Rowland, has proudly brought attention to this quaint upstate getaway. Loads of history, story-book charm and one name you need to know, MacKenzie-Childs who make this city a total gem!
Hawaii never get's old! This trip was our fourth visit, and I could go every year and never tire of our time spent there. I could do without that eight-hour flight, but worth it in the end! When picking a babymoon destination we wanted a place where we knew the beaches were pristine, the sun would be shining and views fantastic!
