My favorite time of year has arrived! It's the official launch of cabin season. I still remember my first cabin trip north with John, and it's still what I most look forward to since moving to Minnesota. I like to joke that it’s the Midwest’s version of going to the Hampton's. Everyone piles in their cars and heads north on the weekends and Memorial Day marks the beginning of this most cherished time of year.
How are there only eleven weeks until baby boy makes his arrival in this big world? When I watch the countdown, it instantly reminds me how much I have yet to do. I have recently made some headway when it comes to the nursery, but it was all overwhelming in the beginning!
When you live in Minnesota, and it's hitting eighty degrees in May, you know it's patio season! We live for the sunshine and a warm afternoon perched on our deck. The fur babies, me and John all love to watch the sunset in the evenings while enjoying the outdoors.
I get asked a lot about my feelings towards motherhood and transitioning into the mommy role. Would you believe the idea still sounds so foreign to me seven months later! Some days I completely forget that I am even pregnant! Then the fatigue sets in, my clothes don't fit, and I quickly remember there is a tiny human growing inside my belly.
Hawaii never get's old! This trip was our fourth visit, and I could go every year and never tire of our time spent there. I could do without that eight-hour flight, but worth it in the end! When picking a babymoon destination we wanted a place where we knew the beaches were pristine, the sun would be shining and views fantastic!
